  • Due to the current federal and state emergency declarations and guidance about limiting person-to-person contact due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic, all meetings of the Mabel-Canton school board will be conducted in accordance with Minnesota Statute 13D.021-Meetings by Telephone or Other Electronic Means-until further notice.

  • Consistent with the federal and state guidance, the board chair and superintendent have determined that an in-person meeting is not practical or prudent because of the current pandemic.

  • As a result, the July 28, 2020 Mabel-Canton school board meeting will take place at 6:00 pm in the library with one or more board members possibly participating by telephone or other electronic means.

The Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) requires that school districts annually designate an Identified Official with Authority to comply with the MNIT Enterprise Identity and Access Management Standard which states that all user access rights to Minnesota state systems must be reviewed and recertified at least annually.  The Identified Official with Authority will assign job duties and authorize external user’s access to MDE secure systems for their local education agency (LEA).  The Board recommends to authorize Gary Kuphal to act as the Identified Official with Authority (IOwA) for Mabel-Canton Public School District 0238-01. - ACTION
