July 17, 2007 The Board of Directors of Independent School District No. 238 held their monthly meeting on Tuesday, July 17, 2007 at 7:45 p.m. in the media center. Members present: Aberg, Hall, Kuhn, Laitinen, Soiney, Swenson and Chair Kuhn. Absent: Adkins Also present: Barb Kerns, Jeff Nolte, Kris Nolte, Isaiah Nolte, Eli Nolte, Hannah Nolte and Chris Hansen The meeting was called to order by Chair Kuhn. Motion by Hall, second by Laitinen and carried unanimously, to approve the amended agenda. Motion by Aberg, second by Swenson and carried unanimously, to approve the June 19, 2007 minutes. Motion by Laitinen, second by Hall and carried unanimously, to approve payment of monthly bills. Motion by Swenson, second by Aberg and carried unanimously, to approve a 3 year contract for Jeff Nolte beginning with the 2007-2008 school year. The salary for 2007-2008 will be $71,500; salary for 2008-2009 will be $74,500 and $77,500 for 2009-2010 school year. Motion by Aberg, second by Soiney and carried unanimously, to accept the bid for dairy products from Kemp’s for the 2007-2008 school year. Motion by Laitinen, second by Hall and carried unanimously to accept the bid for bakery products from Sara Lee Bakeries for the 2007-2008 school year. Motion by Swenson, second by Hall and carried unanimously, to approve Health and Safety Attachment 99 for the 2007-2008 school year. Motion by Laitinen, second by Soiney and carried unanimously, to approve a contract for health and safety management with IEA for 2007-2008 school year. Motion by Swenson, second by Aberg and carried unanimously, to approve membership renewals for Minnesota School Board Association, Southeast Service Coop, Minnesota State High School League, Hiawatha Valley Education District and Minnesota Rural Education Association. Motion by Hall, second by Laitinen and carried unanimously, to approve the Fillmore Central Day Treatment Membership Agreement for the 2007-2008 school year. Supt.
