School Board Special Meeting Minutes

Strategic Planning Meeting

November 30, 2022

The Board of Education of Independent School District #238 met on Wednesday, November 30th, 2022 at 6:00 pm in the Media Center.

Members present in person: Wilder, Miller, Marquardt, Superintendent Kuphal, Student Representatives and Anna Wheat

Members present via visible-audible technology: Gail Gilman

Also present in person: Principal Weidemann, additional staff, students, and community members

Members Absent: Adkins, Weidemann, Tollefsrud, Livingood

The meeting was called to order at 6:00 pm.  

A meal was provided.  

Strategic Planning Committee members broke into small groups.  Each group worked together and decided on a goal they would like to see accomplished from the list provided, specific to:

• Student Opportunities/Support
• Staff Opportunities/Support
• Community Engagement/Outreach
• Finances  

Gail and Gary will review the groups’ goals and work together to move forward with the process.

1. December 14, 2022; Special School Board Meeting, 6:00 pm
2. December 20, 2022; School Board Meeting, 6:01pm
3. January 17, 2023; School Board Meeting, 6:00 pm

Meeting was adjourned at 7:59 pm.
